Charming Stay in Traditional Style!

perfect location bus options shared kitchen common room

I found the location perfect for exploring. The ryokan is near many sights and bus options. I found the shared kitchen great for preparing small meals. The upstairs common room was good for downtime after city exploring.

The building is old so the soundproofing is minimal. This made sleeping slightly challenging with noise from downstairs.

The communal kitchen offered many useful amenities. Guests have access to a microwave, refrigerator, and kettle. I made good use of the complimentary coffee offered each morning in the dining area.

The shared bathrooms were very clean. I noticed that laundry service was available for a small fee, which I appreciated. I also observed a designated smoking area for those who needed it.

EXCELLENT stay!

central location friendly staff easy checkout helpful service

I LOVED the location. It was a big win. The area was central, near key sites. The staff were also very friendly and cute. I also found it very easy to leave my bags after checkout. THAT was helpful.

The soundproofing was minimal! Due to the building's age. IT was a slight downside.

The location is amazing. It's easy to reach many sights from the hotel. The hotel sits in a really pretty neighborhood. I ENJOYED walking around.

convenient location helpful staff clean room cold bathroom uneven heating tatami discomfort

The location is close to many attractions. I walked to the main street of the Gion district in about five minutes. The staff was nice and offered information. The room was also clean.

The bathroom area was quite cold. The hot air from the heater did not reach the lower part of the room. I felt cold air on my face while sleeping on the tatami.

charming stay near everything

perfect location nice common areas equipped kitchen free tea

i was charmed by this place. the location was perfect, just a short walk to many major sites. the common areas were super nice and the staff stored my bags before check in. i found the kitchen to be really well equipped, it even had free tea.

the walls are a little thin so i could hear some noise from other rooms.

the lodging is situated on a peaceful street near the main attractions. many kyoto landmarks are within walking distance, including the supermarket, and public transportation is easily accessible. i could easily explore gion and travel to other parts of the area.

my room was very nice and neat with tatami mats and air conditioning. the bed area felt huge like a capsule room providing a lot of privacy. i found many signs throughout the building that helped me understand the guest policies.

the ryokan features a full kitchen equipped with an oven and microwave. a large common area allows guests to relax and socialize. the showers have hot water and strong water pressure which i liked. the internet connection was also great.
